The BTC (British TaekwonDo
Council) recognised by the Sports Council as the Only
Governing body for TaekwonDo in the United Kingdom, has become a
registered body with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB), an executive
agency of the Home Office.
As members of the BTC this enables us to obtain
Enhanced Disclosure for all our instructors. Disclosure is a
document containing information held by the police and government
departments, and contains details from lists held by the Department
of Health and the Department for Education and Skills.
Thus enabling us:
To verify that all our
instructors are suitable for teaching TaekwonDo in particular as
it involves working with children.
It also ensures that our
instructors a fully aware of the strict BTC guidelines for Health
and Safety, Code of Conduct, Child Abuse and that they have in
place Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
Hall hire
Its becoming increasing common for Sports
Centres and Landlords to ask for proof of the above.
All BTC Registered Instructors are being issued
with Photo ID's along with there Insurance Certificates. If you
are in any doubt please contact the
BTC.
